Do not go to alliance just because they are more populated, we need some balance to the game, I mean yeah its nice to raid as you got more alliance than horde, but what about the QQ when you want to PvP, and there isn't enough hordes, or its just too easy cos ur too high geared compared to them? 
When making a character, go horde unless you really dont want to, it would help the server economy
